Review: Little Flirt

The Little Flirt by Tantus

I feel blasphemous doing this but my first 1 star review(1) is of a Tantus product. The little flirt is a) just too small for me b) is the closest a toy has gotten to getting sucked inside of me. c) I consider the new design to be worse than the original. Read ahead for more.

The Little Flirt

Material: Cleaning and Safety Concerns

The Little Flirt is made of pure silicone, which one of the best materials around as it is hypoallergenic, non-porous and free of latex and phthalates. You can clean this toy with plan old soap and water. You can also share the toy if you sterilize the toy between uses; you can do so by cleaning it with a ten percent bleach solution; boiling it or putting it on the top rack of your dishwasher without any soap. (Although for the most through sterilization, you should use a pressure cooker for 20 minutes, for all intents and purposes autoclaving it). Silicone toys can have a boding reaction with silicone lubes so only use water based lube with this toy.

Design and Dimensions

The Little Flirt is a beginner’s butt plug, with a diameter of 0.8” and a length of 3.75. The base is about 2.25 inches across and a little under inch wide at it’s widest. The base is a ¼-inch think (which is going to make the rest of this review a little shocking). Its weight is a measly 1.35 oz. The flirt comes in multiple colors Edenfantasys has them in red, purple and copper. Lastly, there is also a larger version of the flirt available.

Before I continue I should say that I got both the new and old model little flirt.(2) Although this is a review of the new version, I should note the difference between the two, as I will reference them later on. The big difference is the base design, as you can see from the pics, the old model was a round base while the new Little Flirt’s has a rectangular slightly hourglass shape to it. The angles on the new one seem straighter then those of the old version that is a bit more rounded.

Pleasure and Use

Admittedly, I knew that this was plug was not marketed to me when I bought it. I’m more experienced and this plug is clearly designed for anal novices. However, there are days when even this size king wants something small and I prefer using a toy to using my fingers. Also I figured that this plug being so small it would be a good plug to throw in my book bag along with a packet of lube for those “I wish I had put a plug in me before I left the house” days (what…you guys don’t have those? 0_o).  Needless to say that it didn’t work out as planned.

The first problem is that the toy slides out (both versions) a plug that falls out is no longer a plug. The only way to get it to stay in is if I’m sitting on it. When I am sitting on it is not very stimulating but I know something is there, which is all I expect of this toy so that would be fine as long as it stayed in.

My second problem is as I said above when it wasn’t trying to slide out it actually tried to slide in. This stunned me considering the toys base, but as I was playing with it one of the corners slipped inside of me unexpectedly as I was inserting it. I don’t think I was in much risk of it actually going in all the way as it was a weird moment in time and space where as one corner entered my body the rest of the plug was also popping out. The base of the new version despite being thick is surprisingly flexible. Testing it some more I found I could get the side of the base to slip in rather easily (Don’t try that at home! I put my ass (literally) on the line so you don’t have to!) I find it hard to recommend this toy considering this is the closest I have gotten to having to type up my review from the ER. However, the final straw is that comparing it to the old design I actually like the old design better. The round base is admittedly more uncomfortable between the checks but the base has no give so what happened with the newer base can’t happen with the old one. Could me being much more experienced then it target market have contributed to it slipping in? It probably did but even then, I find myself concerned, as I don’t want the moment someone realizes they need a bigger butt plug to be a trip to the ER and there are better products on the market.

For someone looking for a good beginner plug I would recommend the Fun Factory Bootie over this; It is a bit bigger but overall much better: Also made of silicone, more stimulating, easy to insert and the base is more comfortable then either the old or new design of this plug… and it won’t slip in or out.

Who is it for?

It designed for beginners and if it would stay where it supposed to it would be great. As is however, it seems to want to go everywhere except where it is supposed to. I have trouble recommending it to anyone especially with better options on the market.

Packaging

I got both versions from Tantus direct, which means it came in their non-retail baggies. However the retail packaging for every Tantus toy I’ve owned have had the common threads of being made of transparent plastic and being tasteful in design.

Closing Thoughts

I wanted to like this cute little plug but I never thought I would have a problem with the same plug both falling out and trying to slide in (and looking at how thick the base is the slide in part still has me a bit confounded.) So as blasphemous as it sounds this cute little Tantus toy only gets one star.

  1. official one at least the P-spot vibrating plug if I had to give it a star rating would have also been a one star, and it also by Tantus []
  2. I bought the old model when it was being closed-out by Tantus. Later they were closing out a Flirt/Little Flirt combo which I got to try out the larger Flirt, which is how I got the new model. []
