Kaede Inflatable Lover by Cal Exotics Novelties
Last week I reviewed the Miho love pillow by Cal Exotics while it was mostly what you would expect, a pool toy with a naked chick on it, it did to my surprise work well in one position (it pressed against a wall), so I decided to try another toy in their Anime line the Kaede Inflatable Lover. Will I get another surprise or will it be pure disappointment?

Design and Dimensions
Firstly, the included masturbator is the same as the one that came with the Miho love pillow. It measures 6”x 4.25 with a ribbed internal texture. Its color is a creep plastic that wants to pretend it is flesh, flesh tone color. It is also deigned to look like a vulva…. an ugly looking vulva. Lastly, the toy smells like vanilla candy. Dear Cal Exotics development department I don’t know who you are using as the model for this “lifelike pussy” but please stop…find a new reference cunt!
The love doll measures 15”x 7.5” and has a single “love tunnel” on the bottom that can accommodate up to 8 inches. it has an hourglass like design making it easier to hold on to. It smells a bit out of the box as well but I think that just from being in the box with that ridiculous pocket pussy. There is a design of the Anime girl on both sides, although they look a bit too similar for my liking (you can see one in the pic above and the other in the pic below). On the other hand, I have a thing for green eyes so that it green-eyed is a plus. The Anime girl is dressed up like a French maid although that it says “Moe Moe Magic” on the box makes me wonder if they weren’t going for a naughty dark magic girl type of thing *shrug*. Also the name Kaede means maple, if you were wondering.

Lastly, as I said this is part of Cal Exotics Anime line that included six inflatable toys. Which are: this toy, the Sakura inflatable lover which appears to be the same as this but with a different deign; the already reviewed Miho love pillow; the Asuka love pillow which appears to be the Miho with a different design and lastly the Kishimoto serika doggie style and Kawai rimi kneeling love dolls. In addition, the line also includes several masturbators: the Yozakura stretchy, Suzumiya kokomi ribbed, Sizuru stretchy ribbed and the First Love stretchy ribbed.
Materials: Cleaning and Safety Concerns
The included masturbator is made of TPR and the doll itself is made out of PVC plastic, both materials are somewhat pours and can’t be effectively sterilized or sanitized so use a condom if sharing. Both materials are compatible with both water and silicone based lubes. To clean use warm soap and water. Keep in mind that the included masturbator is open at the end so fluids will leak out the back and in to the “love tunnel”. Therefore, do not just clean the masturbator and forget to clean the pocket.
Pleasure and Use
Just like with the previous love doll the masturbator alone doesn’t feel good. The toy is cheap, the material isn’t pleasant, the texture nothing special, the entrance is too tight for it to be easy to penetrate when inside the inflatable and this is on top of the ugly look and smell. Using the inflatable without the masturbator, just penetrating the plastic “love tunnel”, doesn’t feel good either PVC just isn’t a pleasurable materials to jerk off into, in my opinion. Therefore, a third party masturbator is necessary if you want to use this thing.
Moving on to the doll the first problem is that I had problems inflating it manually it was hard to get air in it but I eventually managed but at least it doesn’t appear to leak air so once you have it inflated it should say operationally for a while.
So how does it work with a third party masturbator, depends which masturbator. My Fleshlight sex in can doesn’t fit well in the hole, however the Tantus Stroker XL fit perfectly. Once inside using it with the love doll dose provide some benefits. Since the inflatable will act lack a case on around it will feel less like you are jerking yourself off. It nothing spectacular but as a sex toy accessory instead of a standalone toy, it does work decently in this fashion. The graphics do give you a bit of a visual as you are using it as well. Lastly, it does have the bonus of being portable, even if inflating a boll up doll is not the sexiest use of travel motel.
Packaging
The toy comes in a red packaging full of Japanese characters and naked graphics of the Anime girl on it. It all very colorful and Anime which means although any one seeing this is going to know a sex toy is inside it at least looks cute instead of all out pervy. Inside you will find the love doll folded and wrapped in tissue paper. The doll will have pieces of tape covering all the nipples which I find hilarious, I counted a total of 15 nipples on the packaging but you put tape on something you are only going to see after you open it?

Who is it for?
It part of the Anime line so, this toys primary market is obviously anime fans This is obviously a good gag for the pervy Anime fan in your life. If you want to get actually use it make sure you have a third party masturbator that can fit in the hole (i.e. The Stroker XL or something similar in size).
Closing Thoughts
As a stand only toy, this toy doesn’t work well, unless you want an Anime themed gag gift. However, as a sex toy accessory to use with my Tantus Stroker it actually works decently, although it nothing to write home about. This give it enough utility I’ll be kind to Kaede and give her 2 stars.
