Tantus Spiral Butt Plug
Materials: Cleaning and Safety Concerns
Like all Tantus toys, this is made of non-porous, hypoallergenic, latex and phthalates free pure silicone. If you want to share this toy, you should at least sanitize this toy, if not completely sterilize the toy between uses. To sanitize the toy you can use a 10% solution, boil it or put it in your dishwasher on the top rack without soap. To sterilize boil it in a pressure cooker at 15psi for 20 minutes or use an autoclave if you have access. Silicone lubes can react poorly with silicone lubes do either do a test patch of silicone lubes or use only water or oil based lubes with this toy.
Design and Dimensions
This toy measures roughly 4.5’ in total height with 3.75 of it being insertable, the plug has a max diameter of 1.25 and the circular base of the plug measures about 2.25” at its widest point. The base has a hole in it to put a bullet vibrator and a one-speed bullet is included. The design of this reminds me of some short of sci-fi power structure, it has a rounded tip followed by three ridges down it shaft. The toy is available in two colors black and metallic purple.
Pleasure and Use
Overall, this plug was a disappointment but let us start with the good. Although the included bullet is cheap, get a third party bullet if you buy this, the bullet in the base system does have the advantage of allowing the bullet to be replaced instead of the whole toy and if the bullet you use is water proof the toy is waterproof. The ridges do give some extra stimulation going in if that your thing and the plug does stay in during sitting, standing, and light movement. However, the bad out weights the good.
I have learned from my experience with the p-spot vibrating plug that vibrating butt plugs can induce orgasm in me but unless they can stay in on their own, they have no benefits over a standard anal vibrator. I also want a vibrating butt plug that can stay in because using it with a remote control bullet would be a recipe for some naughty in public fun…if I could find a bullet accepting plug that stays in, which I have yet to find. This one is better than the one I have tried before in that if I am lucky it will fall out on the second orgasm instead of the first. This is not good enough for me especially since these vibrator-included anal orgasms are non-ejaculatory meaning these sessions are multiple orgasm sessions.
However that isn’t the only problem with a diameter of about 2 3/8” it has the largest diameter of any circular based butt plug I have and as such is very uncomfortable between the cheeks. Even that might be forgivable if it stayed in during orgasm, but it doesn’t so there is little to redeem this plug.
Who is it for?
The toy looks cool but the base is uncomfortable and does not stay in during orgasm, so I find this hard to recommend to any one.
Packaging and Storage
All orders from Tantus direct come in their non-retail baggies, the box it comes is discrete although the shipping label will say Tantus Inc. if your concerned someone may recognize the company name. Silicone has no special storage requirement just keep it away from silicone lubes.
Closing Thoughts
This represents failed attempt # 2 to find a good vibrating butt plug…hopefully try number three will be better.
